Dewey Smith

Dewey Franklin Smith, 57, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2020 at his home.    A Graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at Forest Hill Memorial Park by the Rev. Henry King.   The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Monday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home.   Mr. Smith was born July 1, 1962 to Charlie Jerome Smith and Dorothy Mauney Smith.  He was employed at Link & Taylor for 16 years and was of the Baptist faith. Dewey loved to cook, fish and loved animals. He loved people and especially his family, and never met a stranger. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Fred Smith, Charles Smith, Robert Smith and a sister, Margaret Lawson.   Surviving are two brothers, Rocky Smith (Deborah), and David Smith (Doris) both of Lexington; and two sisters, Mary Coffey and Brenda Smith both, of the home.
