Diann Virginia Martin

October 29, 1942 — July 13, 2025

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Diann Martin, longtime resident of
Lexington, North Carolina, who left us peacefully on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at the age of 82.


Born on Thursday, October 29, 1942, Diann was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great
grandmother and friend. She dedicated her professional life to the world of interior design and was a
respected self-employed designer in Lexington, NC. Her keen eye for beauty and her ability to transform
spaces brought joy to many clients over the years and left an indelible mark on the community.


Diann was the cherished daughter of the late Isom Joel Ragan and Helen Virginia Ragan, also preceding
her in death is brother in-law, David Shanks. She was a family-oriented woman who found immense joy
in her relationships and valued the time she spent with her loved ones.


She is survived by her devoted husband, Larry Wayne Martin of Lexington, NC, who stood by her side
throughout her life, and her loving daughter, Kimberly Lewis (Graham), Sons. Michael Martin (Paula), Jeffrey Martin, brothers Ronnie Ragan, Ricky Ragan (Janie), sister Patrica Shanks, six
grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.


Her grace, kindness, and dedication to those she loved will be remembered by all who knew her.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Davidson Funeral Home, a celebration of life will be at a
later date.


Diann Martin will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Her spirit will live on in the elegance she brought to the world and the love she spread throughout her
life.
