Dicky Talbert

Richard “Dicky” Martin Talbert, 69, of Advance went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 4, 2023.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, April 8, 2023, in the Lighthouse Baptist Church Family Life Center in Welcome with Pastors Avery Varnadore and Howard Moffitt officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10 am until 11 am prior to the service in the Family Life Center.

Dicky was born in Davie County on February 1, 1954, to Tom Talbert and Olivia Martin Talbert. He was a devoted member of Lighthouse Baptist Church, where he enjoyed playing the guitar and singing, as well as teaching Sunday School. Dicky had a jail ministry in his younger years and was always eager to share the Gospel. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather whose memory will be cherished forevermore.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Teresa Lynn Talbert; his two sons, Matthew Talbert (Alyssa), and Nicolas Talbert; two brothers, Tommy Talbert, and Sammy Talbert (Maria); a sister, Denise Leach (Neil); and his precious granddaughter, Sophi Talbert.
