Dinah Elizabeth Dodd Amon

Dinah Dodd Amon, 70, of Davidson County, passed away Monday, February 17, 2025, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist.

Dinah was born on July 26, 1954, in Forsyth County, to the late Telford Dodd and Waletha Jenkins Dodd. She worked for many years for Kmart and later went on to retire from Walmart.

Dinah had a creative and loving spirit, finding joy in painting, crafting, and designing beautiful flower arrangements. She loved the peacefulness of fishing, the excitement of playing games on her tablet, and the simple pleasures of enjoying her favorite TV shows and cooking delicious meals. Her cats held a special place in her heart, bringing her comfort and companionship. Above all, Dinah was known for her warm and welcoming nature, always embracing those around her with kindness and love, especially her beloved grandkids, who were the light of her life.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard E. Amon and sister, Bobbi Eberly.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Josh Martin (Tabitha), of Winston Salem, Andy Angel, of Lexington, Rick Amon Jr, of Winston Salem, and Robert Amon, of Burlington; bonus son, Casey Shipes; grandchildren, Hope, Sadie, Arianna, Andrea, Kendyl, Dwayne, Trey, and Caleb; cousin, Phyllis Swicegood; and precious fur babies, Lily and Draco.

Her light will continue to shine through those who were blessed to know her.
