Dolan Stewart Cody

Dolan Stewart Cody, age 63, of Stewart Road, Lexington passed away Tuesday afternoon (Sept. 6, 2011) at Lexington Medical Center.    Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday (Sept. 8, 2011) at the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Tom Mussbaum and Mr. Kevin Killam officiating.  Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from Noon until 2:00 pm prior to the service.   Dolan was born in Davidson County, June 25, 1948 to Robert Dolan Cody and Helen Stewart Cody. He and his dad where independent truck drivers, for Gray Concrete in Thomasville for 26 years and with Lowes Millwork for 18 years before retiring due to his health.  He was preceded in death by his father.   Surviving are his mother, Helen Stewart Cody of the home; one sister, Karen Dean and husband, Brian, of Lexington; niece, Hanna Brown; nephew, Aaron Dean and wife, Amanda; great-niece, Ashlyn Dean; one aunt, Mrs. Maurice Stewart of Kernersville and several cousins.   Dolan was loved by his family and many friends he made during his life.  The family would like to thank the Doctors and staff of Lexington Medical Center, Lexington Family Physicians and Davidson Cancer Center for all their love and care given to Dolan during his illness.     Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
