Dollie Mae Watson

May 9, 1939 — October 28, 2020

Dollie Mae Watson

A woman who lived life in the fullest of ways

As a fishing guide, she should sometimes be hired.

Yes, fishing is a thing she did very well

And its hard to believe stories she sometimes would tell.

But, all stories are true as true as can be

For a most honest and truthful person was she.

Golf is another game she often would play

And an excellent performance most times she would display

On a few occasions she would play somewhat bad.

But that didn’t make this lady sad.

For it’s a game to her nothing much more.

It’s the fun of the game is what she played for.

Golfing and fishing she sure knows her stuff

At poker, she’s one who would sure call your bluff.

Don’t “dare” this lady to do anything

Cause “I’ll take you on” she was sure to sing.

Unfamiliar she would be of somethings to do,

Either she learned it fast or she faked it through.

Like playing the harmonica and the banjo too.

Is there anything this lady could not possibly do.

She was sometimes so funny, some think she was crazed.

She loved a good joke and there’s many she would tell

Many she would tell so descriptively well.

A boring person she was certainly not.

And many wonderful friends she has certainly got.

Yes, a fun-loving person she surely is

A very extraodinary person so many adore

From the city of High Point to the Santee Shore?

She’s a mother to Rene’ and to Terri Jo,

A most loving Mother two daughters would know.

And a wonderful wife she was to Ray,

A man truly loved a lot by sweet Dollie Mae.

Together they traveled the world, fishing and golfing,

And having such fun, meeting new people was

What they loved.

We love you sweet Dollie Mae and will see you again

A wonderful lady that all do adore!!
