Donald Reid Clodfelter, age 75, of Greensboro St. Ext., Lexington, passed away Friday, May 4, 2012 at Forsyth Memorial Hospital.
The funeral service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday at Pilgrim Reformed Church, where he was a member, by the Rev. Max Shoaf. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home.
Donald was born in Davidson County, on May 31, 1936 to Clarence Reid Clodfelter and Mary Hayes Clodfelter. He retired from Thomasville Furniture and was the owner and operator of Don’s Tire and Recapping in Thomasville. He is preceded in death by his wife; Rebecca Irene Voncannon Clodfelter, who died in July 1996, and a granddaughter, Brianna Clodfelter.
Surviving are his sons, Christopher Clodfelter and wife, Kay, of Illinois; David Clodfelter and wife, Dawn, of Wallburg, and Joseph Donald Clodfelter of Tyro; his grandchildren, Brendon Clodfelter and Connor Clodfelter; his brothers, Boyd Clodfelter and wife, Julia, Paul Clodfelter and wife, Lynne, and Max Clodfelter, all of Lexington; and several nieces and nephews.
