Don Kennedy

Mr. Robert Donald Kennedy, 70, of Becky Hill Road, died Friday, February 9 at Hinkle Hospice House.

A memorial service will be held at 2pm Saturday, February 24 at Tyro Methodist Church by the Rev. Randy Foster.  The family will receive friends following the service.

Mr. Kennedy was born August 9, 1953 in Davidson County to Robert Oscar Kennedy and Virginia Helmstetler Kennedy.  He retired from CPM Wolverine Proctor after 48 years and was a member of Tyro Methodist Church.  He and Betty were active members of the Winston Salem and the Greensboro Shag Clubs.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Forrest Kennedy of the home; his sons, Robert Bryan Kennedy of Lexington and Michael Chad Kennedy (Missy) of Wilmington; his sisters, Barbara Tysinger of Churchland and Doris McDaniel, of Pennsylvania; and his granddaughter, Maddie Kennedy.

In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to Hinkle Hospice House, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington NC 27292.
