Don Van Hyning

Donald Lee Van Hyning, 80, of Twin Acres Dr, died Wednesday, September 2 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. A private inurnment will be held at the First United Methodist Church Columbarium. Mr. Van Hyning was born October 27, 1939 in West Liberty, OH to Thomas Mortimer Van Hyning and Anna Marine Van Hyning. He retired from PPG after 31 years of service and was a member of First United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Louise Bryant Van Hyning of the home; his sons, Chad Van Hyning of Charlotte, and Dirk Van Hyning and wife, Jean, of Spartanburg, SC; his sister, Connie Wilhoyte and husband, Don, of Hermitage, TN; his grandchildren, Jackson, Samuel and Eliza Van Hyning, and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to Meals on Wheels of Davidson County, PO Box 1697, Lexington NC 27293 or to First United Methodist Church, 310 S. Main St, Lexington NC 27292.
