Donald Hill Black, 67, of Andrew Sink Road, died Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at his home, following an extended illness.
A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, December 7, 2014, at Reeds United Methodist Church cemetery with the Rev. Duncan Martin officiating with Mr. Black’s grandson, Matthew Black assisting. Burial will follow. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
Mr. Black was born September 29, 1947, in Davidson County, to Baxter Bonnie Black and Dulcie Hill Black. He was a member of Reeds United Methodist Church. Mr. Black was an avid deer hunter, enjoyed hobby farming and loved his farm animals.
Surviving are his loving wife of 48 years, Lynn Sharpe Black of the home; son, Tommy Black of Lexington; daughter, Margie Black of Lexington; two grandchildren, Matthew Black and Samantha Black; and brother, Jerry B. Black and wife Sue of Lexington.
