Donald George Brock, Sr. 81, of Southlake Court, died Thursday, December 24 at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.
A memorial service will be 2 pm Tuesday, December 29 at the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, by the Rev. Tom Latimer.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 pm Tuesday prior to the funeral home.
Mr. Brock was born September 17, 1934 in Sampson County to the Rev. Leon Moran Brock and Willie Jane Pope Brock. He attended North Carolina State University, served in the United States Army, and was owner of Don Brock, Inc., where he worked as a land developer, contractor and real estate agent for the Theodore Roosevelt family. He was a member of Jamestown United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Leon M. Brock, Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy Louise Floyd Brock of the home; his son, Donnie Brock, Jr. and wife, Debra, of Raleigh; his daughter, Terri Brock of Wrightsville Beach; his brother, Willie Ray Brock of Leland; his sister, Wanda B. Pittman of Wilmington, and Catherine B. Tart and husband, Lewis, of Wendell, NC; and his grandchildren, BJ Brock and Lexie Brock.
