Donald Bryce Sink, 96, of Ridge Road in Lexington, passed away Wednesday April 24, 2024 at the Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Sunday with Military graveside rites, at the Pilgrim Lutheran Church Cemetery with Rev. Terry Graunke officiating services.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 Saturday at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington.
Mr. Sink was born August 14. 1927, in Davidson County to Henry Grady Sink and Barbara Estella Wagner Sink. Donald was a 1944 graduate of Welcome High School and attended University Of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He a WWII veteran of the Navy and an Aviation Tech 3rd Class, loved fishing, started the local Trout Unlimited Chapter and worked as a parts manager at Thomas Motors. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Winfred Jacqueline “Jackie” Weaver Sink and two brothers, Woodford Sink and Hoyle Sink.
Surviving is his son, Donald Mitchell “Mike” Sink (Betty) of Lexington; his daughter Jacqueline Patricia “Pat” Essick (John Wayne) of Lexington; 3 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
