Donald "Buddy" Greer

Donald “Buddy” Kiff Greer, age 76, of Lexington passed away Thursday, December 14, 2017 at his home.   A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, December 18, 2017 at Bethany United Methodist Church with Preacher Gene Little officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery with the Rev. David Talbert officiating.   The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Sunday at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington and other times at the home of his grandson.   Buddy  was born in Davidson County on October 22, 1941 to Kiff Alex Greer and Magdalene Parks Greer. Buddy was a carpenter by trade and an avid hunter and fisherman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Craver Greer; his son, Alan K. Greer; and his sister, Janice Feezor.   Surviving are his daughter, Tammy Grubb (Gary) of Lexington; sister, Betty Ann Broadway of Lexington; daughter-in-law, Fran Greer of Lexington; two grandchildren, Alex Greer (Georgina), and Erica Greer;  two great-grandchildren, Kiff and Huxley Greer; and his companion, Edith Hyder.   Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association at 4217 Park Place Ct.
