Donald Duckery Coleman, 70, of Lexington, passed away surrounded by loving wife and family, Wednesday July 6, 2022 at his home.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Friday July 8, 2022 at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Pastor David Kolb and Pastor Ben Vogler officiating services. Entombment will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm Friday prior to the service at Davidson Funeral Home, and other times at the home.
Mr. Coleman was born October 15, 1951 in Rowan County to Tim Coleman and Mae Williamson Coleman. He was owner/operator of Don’s Autos Sales and enjoyed fishing in his spare time. Donald was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Timmy Coleman; a daughter, Christy Coleman and a brother, Bobby Coleman.
Surviving is his wife, Betty Jo Albright Coleman, of the home; a son, Shane Coleman; a brother, Randy Coleman (Barbara) of Tabor City; two sisters, Jean Coleman Johnson (Stanley) of Longs SC and Gail Coleman Yates of Lexington; 4 grandchildren, Chloe (Clay) Long, Zachary (Hailee) Jenkins, Hannah Jones and Grayson Jones, 3 great-grandchildren, Andrew Jenkins, Caroline Jenkins and Macon Long; and 3 step children, Sharon (Dale) Jones, Tim Sykes and Punkie Hilda (Randy) Jenkins
