Donald Rogers Corner, 69, of Becks Church Road, died Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2006, at Lexington Memorial Hospital after a sudden illness.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Open Door Baptist Church, where he was a member, by Dr. Gary Gibson. Burial will be in Floyd Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Corner was born March 16, 1937, in Mercer County, W.Va., to Willie Corner and Iva Wiley Corner. A retired employee of Lexington Furniture Industries, Linwood, he was a member of the National Guard.
Surviving are his wife, Lillian Frank Corner of the home; a son, Steven Lee Corner and his wife, Dollie, of Lexington; two daughters, Debbie Corner Cole and her husband, Johnny, and Lisa Corner Lleaza and her husband, Vincent, all of Lexington; 10 grandchildren, Brandi Marker and her husband, Brad, Beth Graf and her husband, Shane, Ana Cole, Whitney Cole, Erin Cole, Cassie Mclain, Emma Corner, Angela Cole, Camille Phillips and her husband, Kelly, and Slade Cole and his wife, Joanna; five great-grandchildren, Maxton Marker, Talon Graf, Stone Phillips, Slade Phillips and Jett Cole; and two brothers, Clarke Corner of Lexington and Will Corner and his wife, Pam, of Memphis, Tenn.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 tonight at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington, and other times at the home of the daughter, Debbie Cole, Hugh Miller Road, Lexington.
