Donald Terry Crotts

Donald Terry Crotts, 72, of Turner Road, died Friday, November 28, 2008, at his home, after a courageous fight with cancer for three months.   The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, December 1, 2008, at Grace Alliance Church, where he was a charter member, by the Rev. Thomas Hicks. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.   Mr. Crotts was born April 25, 1936, in Davidson County, to Dermont Terry Crotts and Mary Gertrude Everhart Crotts. He was owner/operator of Don’s Construction and a former member of Davis Townsend Lions Club. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Dermont Terry Crotts.   Surviving are his wife, Monna Rae Everhart Crotts of the home; three sons, Terry Crotts and wife, Becky, Gary Crotts and wife, Pam, all of Lexington, and Wayne Crotts of Athens, Ga.; a daughter, Donette Thore, and husband, Charlie, of Lexington; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Hedrick, Brandy Musgrave and husband, Scott, Mindy Lawson and husband, Eric, Tera Griffith and husband, Russ, Heather  Thore, Lindsay Thore, and Haley Thore; and nine great-grandchildren, Miranda Hedrick, Sarah Hedrick, Tiffany Hedrick, Gavin Griffith, Trevor Musgrave, Devon Musgrave, Jack Musgrave, Dylan Lawson, and Brynna Lawson.   The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, November 30, 2008, at Davidson Funeral Home, other times at the home on Turner Road.   Memorials may be made to Grace Alliance Church, 457 Burkhart Road, Lexington, NC 27292 or Hospice of Davidson County, P.O.
