Donald Reid Deal Sr.

Donald Reid Deal Sr, 65, of Davidson County, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2022, at his home.

A service will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, 301 N. Main St. Lexington, NC 27292, with Rev. Aaron Long officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.

Donald was born on June 16, 1957, in Kannapolis, to the late Marvin Donald Deal and Carrice Sue James Deal. He worked 35 years as a Paramedic for Davidson County EMS, was a former Fire Fighter, and also a Fire Fighting Instructor. He was a member of the Enterprise Masonic Lodge, as well as the Vice Chair of the Libertarian Party of NC and also the Libertarian Party of Davidson County. He was known to enjoy his sci-fi shows, but his favorite was Star-Trek. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Deal.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, MiChelle Dowell of the home; son Donald Deal II and wife, Wendy of Lexington; stepchildren, Dustin Dowell, Andrew Barnett, Destiny Poole, and Isabella Barnett, all of Winston-Salem; one brother, Scott Deal and fiancé, Shannon; one sister, Ann Lawson and husband, Marvin; and three grandchildren, Jordan Deal, Olivia Deal, and Kezlie Deal.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
