Donald "Don" Gray Woodruff

Donald “Don” Gray Woodruff, age 72, of Riverview Road, Lexington passed away Sunday night (May 29, 2011) at Hinkle Hospice House.    Graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday (June 1, 2011) at Forest Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, with Rev. Bob Burns officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.   There will be no public visitation.   Don was born in Surry County, February 26, 1939 to Clarence Woodruff and Hattie Marshall Woodruff.  He was a retired Superintendent for Weaver Cook Construction in Greensboro. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Barbara Lovill Woodruff.   Surviving are his daughter, Tammy Woodruff Burns and husband Jamie Burns Lexington; two grandchildren, Heather Snow Dudney and Kevin Gunter; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Nonnie Woodruff Durham of Roaring River and Margaret Woodruff Bondurant of Mt. Airy, NC; mother-in-law, Margaret N.
