Donald Lane Duncan, Sr.

March 22, 1940 — December 21, 2020

Donald Lane Duncan, Sr. age 80 of White Street in Lexington passed away Monday, December 21, 2020 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, December 26 th at Liberty Baptist Church officiated by Pastor David Bowman.  Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.

Visitation will be at the church from noon until 1:00pm prior to the service.  Due to Covid-19, those attending are asked to practice social distancing and wear a mask.

Donald was born on March 22, 1940 in Forsyth County to Beedler James Duncan and Ruby Mae Eagleson Duncan.  He retired from Swing Transport as a truck driver and served in the United States Army.  Donald was of the Baptist faith and was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Janet Holifield Duncan in November 2020; a daughter Shannon Duncan, six brothers and a sister, Linda Lou Duncan.

Left to cherish his memory are his son, Donald Lane Duncan, Jr. of Winston-Salem; daughters, Belinda Lupton (Larry) of Lexington, Rachel Reid (John) of Florida; brothers, Jackie Duncan of Walkertown, Terry Duncan of King; eight grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
