Donald Clyatte Frank, 87, of John Young Road, died Thursday, January 31, 2013, at Lexington Health Care.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday, February 3, 2013, at Hedrick’s Grove Reformed United Church of Christ, where he was a member, with the Rev. William Sowers officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military graveside rites by Davidson County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, February 2, 2013, at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
Mr. Frank was born May 10, 1925, in Davidson County, to Ashley Phillip Frank and Minnie Workman Frank. He was previous co-owner of Kepley Frank Hardwood Inc. and later retired from McLean Trucking Company. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 473, Scottish Rites, and the Lexington Shrine Club. At his church he was an active member having served 12 years as past Deacon and Elder and also he was a member of The Men’s Brotherhood. He loved to spend his spare time camping. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Dorothy Frank; brothers, Lee Frank and Walter Frank; and sisters, Ora Frank and Maude Hedrick.
Surviving are his loving wife, Ruby Rhodes Frank of the home; sons, Wayne Frank and wife Judy, Johnny Frank and wife Joy, all of Denton, Larry Frank and wife Bennie and Tony Frank and wife Pansy, all of Lexington; grandchildren, Monica and Amanda Freedle, Monnie, and Amber Frank, Maria Hodge and husband, Jarrod, and Ashlee Frank; great-grandchild, Rylee Hodge; and sister, Ruby Ward of Denton.
