Donald Charles Harrelson

Donald Charles Harrelson, age 86 of Jerusalem Road, Lexington passed away Monday, August 8, 2016 at the home of his son. A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, August 11, 2016 at Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Chris Bitterman officiating. Full military honors by US Navy and Davidson County Honor Guard will follow.There will be no public visitation. Donald was born in Davidson County July 31, 1930 to John David Harrelson and Opal Lowder Harrelson. He was retired from the US Navy having served 20 years and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. After the Navy he worked and retired after 20 years with PPG. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Bobbie Jean Harrelson. Surviving are his daughters, Donna McClain of Florida, Deborah Harrelson of Lexington and Linda Harrelson of Arkansas; sons, Wayne Harrelson and Wayne Sneed both of Lexington; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Betty Hipps of Georgia.
