Donald Pressley

December 11, 1936 — February 15, 2010

Donald Edward Pressley, 73, of Tilden Nursery Road, died Monday, Feb. 15, 2010, at Lexington Memorial Hospital. His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, where he was a member, by Pastors Howard G. Baker and Max Shoaf. Burial will follow in Sandy Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home. Mr. Pressley was born Dec. 11, 1936, in Davidson County to Perry Guy Pressley and Claudia Estelle Hufton Pressley. He was retired from PPG Industries and was an usher at his church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Pressley, and sisters Bobbie Pressley Miller and Glenda Faye Pressley. Surviving are his wife, Rogene Allred Pressley of the home; sons Rodney Dean Pressley and wife Tammy Bess Pressley of Lexington and Timothy John and fiancé Kathryn Pritchard of Midway; grandchildren Emily Pressley Byerly and husband Adam of Salisbury and Jordan Pressley and wife Tawny, Nathaniel Pressley and Katelyn Pressley, all of Lexington; great-grandchild Ahlyssa Pressley of Lexington; brothers Kent Pressley and wife Carolyn, Roy Pressley and wife Annette, David Pressley and wife Kathy and James Pressley and wife Tina, all of Lexington, and Eddie Pressley and wife Hyson of Alaska; and sisters Mary Pressley Potts, Carolyn McEwen, Bonnie Pressley Jones and husband Willie and Kathy Pressley Snider and husband Danny, all of Lexington. Memorials may be made to St. Luke's Lutheran Church Building Fund, 4299 S. N.C. Highway 8, Lexington, NC 27292.
