Donald Bruce Salley

Donald Bruce Salley, age 94, passed away on January 1, 2024. He was born on September 8, 1929, in Henderson County to Albert and Mary Salley. Bruce served in the Army and later worked as an Engineer for Western Electric. He was a dedicated member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church.

Bruce is preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Faye Evans Salley, and a brother, David Calder Salley, Sr. He is survived by his loving son, Donald M. Salley (Kit), and daughter, Susan Abbott. He is also survived by a brother, Alexander McQueen Salley, and one cherished grandson, Michael Stevens Salley.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church, followed by a Celebration of Life in the church at 10:30 am, and visitation with the family. Reverend Beverly Gaska will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bruce’s name to the charity of your choice.
