Donald Ware Sink

Donald Ware Sink age 87 of Happy Hill Road, Lexington passed away Sunday December 10, 2017 at Brian Center. A funeral  service will be 11:00 am Wednesday December 13, 2017 at Wesley Heights United Methodist Church where he was a charter member conducted by Rev. Joe Barbee and burial to follow  at Forest Hill Memorial Park with Military Honors by The Davidson County Honor Guard . The family will   receive friends at the church from 10 until 11 am prior to the service.      Don was born August 8, 1930 in  Davidson  County to John H. and Roxie L. Sink.  He was retired from  The US Postal Service as a letter carrier  after 33 years. He was preceded in death by his parents  and his wife Donnie Lee Peacock Sink. Also preceded by his siblings, Eunice S. Golding, Ralph G. Sink and Edith S. Charles. Don graduated from Lexington High School in 1948. He honorably served his country in the US Army from 1951-1953 serving in Korea. He was a member of VFW Post 3074, American Legion Post #8 and Amvets Post #13.   Surviving are his sister Gayle S. Smith. A special niece and her husband, Susie and Jim Clement. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and  great   nieces and nephews.   Memorial may be made to Wesley Heights UMC 100 Western Blvd, Lexington, NC 27295
