Donald Scott Surratt

Mr. Donald Scott Surratt of Mount Olivet Church Road entered Heaven on Tuesday, December 10th, 2024.

A funeral service honoring his life will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, December 14th, at Davidson Funeral Home Hickory Tree Chapel with Pastor Keith Perkins officiating. Committal will follow in the Alleghany Church cemetery in Denton. The family will receive family and friends from 6-8 PM Friday, December 13th at Davidson Funeral Home Hickory Tree Chapel.

Mr. Surratt was born on September 6th, 1968, to Joe and Margaret Surratt in Randolph County North Carolina.

He loved three women, his wife, his mother, and little Debbie. He treasured his family. Mr. Surratt was an accomplished tournament fisherman who also enjoyed hunting, admired fast cars, never met a stranger, and could always be found at home, work, or the McDonalds in Welcome indulging in caffeine-free diet coke.

Mr. Surratt is preceded in death by his father Joe Surratt, stepfather Joseph Williamson, paternal grandparents Euris and Lola Surratt, maternal grandparents Lawrence and Edith Hunt, and an Uncle Adrian Hunt.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Jeanne of the home, Mother Margaret, brothers Clark Surratt (Vickie) and Dennis Surratt (Tammy) several nieces and nephews, Charlie Goforth (Heather), Nikki Everhart (Lee), Brent Shipton, Josh Shipton (Megan), Makayla Shipton, Colby Surratt, Wesley Miller, and Zane Miller. Three great nieces and nephews, Jackson Shipton, David Draughon, and Victoria Draughon, and a special fur friend Dingo.
