Donald Lee Thompson

Donald Lee “Don” Thompson, 48, of U.S. Highway 64 West, died Saturday, May 17, 2008. at Lexington Memorial Hospital. A graveside service will be at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, at Forest Hill Memorial Park by Keith Brough and the Rev. Kaye Frye. Mr. Thompson was born June 13, 1959, in Davidson County. He was loved very much by his parents, Richard Lee Hedrick and Martha Gregg Thompson Hedrick. Mr. Thompson was an avid golfer and loved to fish. He graduated from Lexington Senior High School in 1978. He was employed at O’Reilly Auto Parts and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Thompson was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Kenny Hedrick. Surviving are his mother of Lexington; special companion Brenda Delk of the home; brothers, Speedy Thompson and Rickey Hedrick and wife, Joyce, of Lexington; and sisters, Cathy Bowman and husband, Nathan, of Welcome, and Gail Hill and husband, Tom, of Lexington. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Wednesday prior to the 3:30 p.m. service and other times at the home of his mother on Sidney Street.
