Donald Reid Walser

Donald Reid Walser, age 62, of Jefferson Drive, Lexington passed away Wednesday morning (September 14, 2011) at his home.  Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Saturday (Sept. 17, 2011) at Good Hope United Methodist Church with Rev. Chris Bennett officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Friday and at other times at the home. Donald was born in Davidson County March 5, 1949 to Murphy R. Walser and Helen Byerly Walser. He was a member of Good Hope United Methodist Church and a retired employee of Myers Tool Company.  He was preceded in death by his father. Surviving are; his wife Ruby Leonard Walser of the home; his son, Michael Walser and wife Dawn of Lexington; a daughter Candace of Lexington; two granddaugthers, Macy and Molly Walser; his mother, Helen Byerly Walser of Lexington; two sisters, Ruby Leonard and husband Bernard and Gayle Moorefield and husband Jerry all of Lexington; two brothers, Joe and Ralph Walser both of Lexington.
