Donald Lee Watkins

Donald Lee Watkins, 92, of Louya Road, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Lexington Medical Center.

Donald was born February 2, 1934, in Anson County, North Carolina, to the late Benjamin Franklin Watkins and Rosa Mae Wagner Watkins. A devoted husband, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather, Donald leaves behind a lasting legacy of love, strength, and dedication to his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ursula Jones Watkins; his daughter, Belinda Watkins Ratliff; and his brothers, Jerry Watkins and Gene Watkins.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Ronald Lee Watkins; his brothers, Claude Watkins (Carolyn) and Paul Watkins; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren, along with many extended family members and friends.

The service to honor Donald's life will be held 2:00 pm, Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. The family will recive friends from 1:00 pm till 2:00 pm, prior to the service. Burial will follow at Cornatzer Methodist Church Cemetery in Mocksville, NC with Military Honors.

Donald will be remembered for the love he shared with his family and the legacy he left for generations to come.
