Donald "Nookie" Yarbrough

Donald Ray “Nookie” Yarbrough, age 73 of Hames Street, Lexington, passed away Thursday (August, 19, 2010 at his home.  Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday (August 23, 2010) at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Messer officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.   The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm SATURDAY, August 21, 2010 and at other times at the home.   Donald was born in Davidson County September 7, 1936 to Gladys Yarbrough.  He was of the Baptist Faith and a retired employee Dixie Furniture.   Surviving are; his wife, Rosa Lane Yarbrough of the home; three daughters, Vicky Torrence and husband Buddy of Lexington, Brenda McLamb of Lillington and Linda Jordan of Dunn; Five sons, Donald Ray Yarbrough, Jr. of Greensboro, Lonnie Mitchell and wife Martha, Marshall Mitchell and wife Vanessa and James Mitchell all of Lexington, Earl Mitchell and wife Retha of Rose Hill; eighteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
