Donese Cross Hill

Donese Cross Hill, 93, of Fox Run, died Friday, October 28, 2016, at her home.   The funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday, October 31, 2016, at Second Presbyterian Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Brian Rummage officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Davidson Funeral Home.   Mrs. Hill was born May 24, 1923, in Davidson County to William E. Cross and Ruth Billings Cross. She was retired from Lexington City Schools. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Grady Hill; sisters, Susie Burris, Marjorie Everhart and Maxine Hunt; and brother, Arthur Cross.   Surviving are sons, Dennis Hill and wife Patsy of Lexington and Charles “Chuck” Hill and wife Terri of Huntersville; daughters, Patricia Neal and husband Jerry of Thomasville, Lynda McDaniel and husband Jerry, and Gloria Palmer and husband Robert, all of Lexington; grandchildren, Sammy Hedrick, Thad Hedrick and wife Wendy, Jody Hedrick, William Ryder and wife Jennifer, Amanda Kirk MacColl and husband Doug, Sunny Palmer Turner and husband Sean, Melvin Hill and wife Kayla, Chris Hill, Jimmy Forrest and wife Crystal, Tammy Alexander and husband Ronnie, Keith Forrest, Allen Forrest and wife Sherry; and 17 great-grandchildren; and brother, Horace Cross of Salisbury.   The family wishes to give special thanks to our loving caregivers, Elaine Burris, Zella Blizard and Becky Smith.   In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Second Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 1334, Lexington, NC 27293.
