Donna Lynn Duckett

Donna Lynn Turner Duckett, 65, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at her home in Denton, NC.

Donna was born on October 31,1960, in Atlanta, Georgia, to the late Vander Turner and Mary Ruth Smith. She married Terry Lee Duckett, on November 28, 1975. Together, they built a life centered around love, family, and faith.

Donna’s greatest joy was her family. She always placed her loved ones first and cherished the time they spent together. Family gatherings were a special part of her life, and she enjoyed being surrounded by those she loved nearly every day. She also enjoyed going to the beach, watching sports, shopping, caring for her plants, and decorating her home. Her beloved dog, Charlie, held a special place in her heart as well.

Donna was saved on January 19, 1981. Throughout her life she faced many trials and struggles, but her life was a true testament teaching us, that it's not always how you start the race but how you finish it.

Donna was loved by many including her beloved children; Jody Duckett (Monica), Holly Savage (Trey), Heather Steen, Heidi Helms (Curtis), Hayley Duckett (Aristotle), and Travis Mora.

She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren; Justin, Joshua, Jayden, Faith, Tristen, Abigail, Brayden, Gracelyn, Callie, Blake, Ty, Ashlyn, Mason, Jacob, Riley, Hayden, Lilyan, C.J., Skylah, Emerie, and her adored great-grandchildren Violet, Parker, Roman, Graham, and Baby Milloway.

Donna is also survived by her sister and best friend Vicki Worley and brother-in-law Danny.

In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her beloved son Christopher Duckett, husband, Terry Lee Duckett, and brother, Tommy Mora.

Donna leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and devotion to family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, and her memory will live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, and the many people whose lives she touched.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate Donna’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 9, 2026 at Davidson Funeral Home of Lexington. Visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 1:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow the service at Grubbs Grove Church of God Cemetery in Denton.
