Donna Grubb

Donna was born June 7, 1959.  Donna left this worldly plain to be with the Lord Sunday, September 1, 2024, at the tender young age of 65 after a long illness and is no longer in pain.  She went to New Friendship UCC and will be dearly missed by all who attended.  She was a member of the Women’s guild and cleaned the church on a weekly basis.  She retired from Stanley Furniture after working 10 plus years, a job she enjoyed.

Donna loved the beach and the mountains.  She loved to cook and tell stories of her past.  Donna loved races, animals. The colors red and black, ghost shows and her family.

A service to celebrate Donna’s life will be held 4:00pm Sunday, September 8 at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington with Rev. Alex Nance officiating.  Visitation will be immediately following the service.

Donna is predeceased by her mother Johnnie Blackstock, her father Charles O. Blackstock, Sr., and her sister Giga R. Dellinger, her niece Chequilla Ruiz, nephew Charles (Chuck) Brown and her son Jonathan (Jay) Aldridge.

Donna Grubb is survived by her loving husband of almost 25 years David. Her daughters Amanda Sanford (Paul), Crystal Buchanan, eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.  Her loving sister Tammy Archer, brother Lonnie Blackstock (Melva), many nieces and nephews, and other family members.
