Donna Irene Newell Burnette

Donna Irene Newell Burnette age 64 passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center following a sudden illness. A memorial service will be held at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel at 3:00 PM on Saturday, November 14, 2015 with Rev. Jacob Burnette officiating. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:30 to 2:30 PM prior to the service. Donna was born in Mecklenburg County on July 1, 1951 to Herman Franklin Newell and Ruby Belk Newell. She had worked at ACC Real Estate. She was preceded in death by her parents. Surviving is her husband Bo Burnette of the home; daughters, Tracy Harvey (Jimmy) and Tricia Stone (David) all of Winston-Salem; sister, Linda Swaringen of Charlotte; four grandchildren, Samantha Harvey, Lee Harvey, Bo Stone, Casey West (Robbie) and one great-grandchild, Colten Hart; numerous nieces and nephews, sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292. Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is assisting the family.
