Donna Driver Melton

Donna Driver Melton, 64, of Abbotts Creek Center, died Monday, December 21, 2015, at Lexington Medical Center following an illness of one and a half years. A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, December 26, 2015, at Forest Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. David Robinson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1to 2 p.m. at Davidson funeral Home. Mrs. Melton was born October 1, 1951, in Cabarrus County, to Edward Leaston Driver and Louise Owen Driver. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Madison Heights Freewill Baptist Church. She was retired from National Wholesale where she had worked in customer service. Her parents preceded her in death. Surviving are son, Thomas Keith Combs and wife Michelle of Wilmington; daughter, Angela Kaye Combs Maxwell of Linwood; four grandchildren, Hannah Skye Shawley, Emily Christina Maxwell, Kaylee Michelle Combs, and Thomas Corey Combs; brothers, Edward “Eddie” Eugene Driver of Wilmington and Richard Lee Driver of Pinnacle; and sisters, Barbara Sue Dixon of Trinity, Cynthia Louise Younts and Patricia Ann Rathmell, both of Lexington.
