Donnie Wade Hepler

Donnie Wade Hepler, age 66 of Warf Road, Lexington died Tuesday, May 5, 2009 in Lexington Memorial Hospital after 4 years of declining health. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, May 7, 2009 at Spruce Street Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Coats, Rev. Tommy Hepler and Rev. Coy Hepler officiating. Mr. Hepler was born May 11, 1942 in Davidson County to William Eugene Hepler and Mary Ester Thomason Hepler. A retired employee of G.W. Smith Lumber Co., he was a member of Spruce Street Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Louise Anderson. Surviving are his wife Velma Richardson Hepler of the home, sons, Jerry Lee Hepler and wife, Kunthara, Ted Wade Hepler and wife, Judy, William Eugene Hepler and Fiancee, April Goins, daughter, Christi Cannon and husband, Greg, all of Lexington; seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, brothers, Coy Hepler and wife, Joyce, David Hepler and wife, Debra, Doug Hepler all of Lexington, sisters, Patricia Pearson and Alice Bowman both of Lexington, and two very special children, Alex and Baliegh Phillips of Lexington.
