Donnie Eugene Sechrest

Donald “Donnie” Sechrest, 63, of Davidson County, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2023.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, February 19, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, with Rev. Ray Harris officiating.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 2:00 PM, Sunday, February 19, 2023, at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington.

Donnie was born on May 17, 1959, in Davidson County, to Mr. Bobby Sechrest and the late Mary Woodward Sechrest. He worked for B and B Metals and loved metal work, creating with his hands.

Donnie was an avid fisherman and enjoyed fishing with his son and daughter-in-law, but his true love was for his wife, Lisa.

Along with his mother, he is preceded in death by his sister, Debbie Sink.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Lisa of the home; father, Bobby Sechrest of the home; son, Buddy Sechrest and wife, Rachel of Lexington; daughter, Melanie Hogrefe and husband, Matthew of Lexington; five grandchildren, Lilly, Fisher, and Badin Sechrest, and Amelia and Mathew W.D. Hogrefe; and his nieces and nephews.
