Dora Berrier

August 16, 1914 — March 5, 2007

Dora Kathryn Berrier, 92, formerly of South Union Grove Road, died Monday, March 5, 2007, at Mallard Ridge Assisted Living. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church, where she was a lifelong member, by the Rev. Mark Denton. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Ms. Berrier was born Aug. 16, 1914, in Davidson County to Charlie Berrier and Jennie Hege Berrier. She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Paul, Walter and Carl Berrier; and two sisters, Eliza Hartman and Ester Berrier. Surviving are one brother, Joe Berrier and his wife, Barbara, of Winston-Salem, and numerous loving nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 tonight at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel, and other times at the home of Joe and Barbara Berrier. Memorials may be made to Carolina Cross Connections, 1082 Community Road, Lexington, NC 27295. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff of Mallard Ridge for the many kindnesses shown to Dora and her family.
