Dorcas Mock

Mrs. Dorcas Koonts Mock, 82, of W. Old Highway 64, died Thursday, January 23 at her home. A funeral service will be held at 2pm Saturday, January 25 at Mt. Zion Wesleyan Church in Thomasville, NC, by the Revs. Dr. Keith Carroll and Wilson Harris A private burial will take place at Shiloh United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30pm Saturday prior to the service. Mrs. Mock was born September 26, 1937 in Davidson County to Cleano Herman Koonts and Bertha Marvin Leonard Koonts. She was employed by the Lexington City School System for 18 years as a substitute teacher and cashier and was a member of Mt. Zion Wesleyan Church. Her sister, Rachel Koonts Sink, preceded her in death. She enjoyed taking care of her family and loved them deeply. She is survived by her husband, Henry Franklin Mock, Jr. of the home; her son, Charles Mock (Kay) of Lexington; her daughters, Lisa Allen (Wayne) of Newton, and Linda Dellinger (Nate) of Lexington; her grandchildren, Erica Dickens (Clark), Dillon Mock (Clara), Luke Dellinger (Sarah), Elizabeth Wagner (Bailey), and Lydia Mock; and her expected first great-grandchild, Avie Jane Dellinger.
