Doris Avery Beck

Doris Avery Beck, 83, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2026, at Hinkle Hospice House.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Lexington Church of God with Pastor Rodney Merrill officiating. Burial will follow in Lexington City Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the church.

Born April 18, 1942, in Harnett County, North Carolina, Doris was the daughter of the late Lloyd Avery and Naomi Faircloth Avery. She was a devoted member of the Lexington Church of GOD and lived a life rooted in faith, love, and dedication to her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by ten brothers, six sisters, and her son-in-law, Johnny Lee Blankenship.

Doris is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Henry “Clay” Beck; her son, Henry Clay Beck, Jr. (Kimberly); her daughters, Vida Maria Atwell (Randy) and Samantha Charlene Beck Blankenship; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will cherish her memory.

Doris will be remembered for her kind heart, strong faith, and the deep love she had for her family. Her legacy of compassion and devotion will live on in all who knew and loved her.
