Doris Beck

Doris Brinkley Beck, age 89 of Lexington passed away Sunday morning at Grayson Creek of Welcome. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday February 19, 2014 at Bethesda United Methodist Church with Rev. Daniel V. Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Doris was born in Davidson County to David D. Brinkley and Maude Hepler Brinkley on September 12, 1924. She was owner and operator of Doris Beck’s Beauty Shop and a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Aaron Beck. Surviving are her daughter, Patricia (Pat) Beck Andrews of Charlotte, grandchildren, Kathryn McElveen (Rimes) of Travelers Rest, SC, Justin Andrews (Carrie) of Matthews and Allison Andrews of Black Mountain, NC; great grandchildren, Luke, Samuel, Dave and Anna McElveen.
