Doris Crotts Beck, 91, of Primrose Drive, died Monday Feb. 15 2010, after extended illness, at Centerclair Nursing Home.
A funeral service was held 2 pm Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at Mt. Tabor United Church of Christ, where she was a member, with Rev. Darrell Sluder officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at 811 Primrose Drive, Lexington.
Mrs. Beck was born January 24, 1919 in Davidson County to Charles Michael Crotts and Mary Jane Black Crotts. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Reid Beck; six brothers; and one sister.
Surviving are one son Bruce Beck and wife, Sandra, of Lexington; three grandchildren, Timothy Beck and wife, Regina, Leah Baker and husband, Mark, all of Lexington, and Julie Matthews and husband, Mark, of East Bend, six great-grandchildren; Heather Beck, Emily Beck, Mckinley Baker, Hylton Baker, and Sheridan Baker, all of Lexington, and Alan Forester of East Bend; one Godson, Charles Eugene Crotts and wife, Alexis, and his children, Garren, Brecken, and Cainnen; and several nieces and nephews.
