Doris Biesecker

Mrs. Doris Leatherman Biesecker, 80, of Lexington, died Friday, May 26 at Hinkle Hospice House.    A memorial service will be held at 11 am Saturday, June 3 at Paul’s Chapel Reformed Church by the Revs. Aaron Long and Elizabeth Horton.    The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.   Mrs. Biesecker was born May 19, 1937 in Davidson County to William Ray Leatherman and Jessie Mae Hedrick Leatherman.  She was a graduate of Greensboro Women’s College and retired from Wellington Hall.  Her husbands, Bobby Nelson and Robert Biesecker, and her brother, Bill Leatherman, preceded her in death.    She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Nelson of Lexington; her step sons, Brad Biesecker and John Biesecker, both of Lexington; her sister, Rebecca Fritts of Lexington, and her step-grandson, Holt Biesecker.   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington NC 27292, Paul’s Chapel Reformed Church, 2791 West Center St. Ext, Lexington NC 27295 or to First Reformed United Church of Christ, 104 E. Center St, Lexington NC 27292.
