Doris Mae Walser Burrow, 86 of Yadkin College Rd, Lexington passed away Wednesday April 1st at Hinkle Hospice House surrounded by her family after two years of declining health.
A funeral service will be Friday April 3rd at Yadkin College United Methodist Church at 4:00 PM. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3:30 Friday at the church.
Mrs. Burrow was born in Davidson County on August 17, 1928 to William Davis Walser and Clara Vestal Berrier Hobbs Walser. She retired from B & F Manufacturing as a seamstress and was a member of Yadkin College United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Wesley Jennings Burrow infant daughter Karen Burrow and brothers Arvil, Hugh, Claude, Marshall, Bruce and Hubbart Walser and sisters Veigh Brooks, Lois Hanes and Nannie Sue Livengood.
Surviving are sons, Vestal Burrow and wife Margaret, Wesley Burrow all of Lexington; grandson Adam Shoaf and sister Mozzelle Koontz of Welcome.
The family would like to send a special thank you to Wake Forest Baptist Lexington Medical Center ICU unit and the staff at Alston Brook Assisted Living for their loving care of Mrs. Burrow.
