Doris Sigmon Deyton

Doris Sigmon Deyton, 84, of Fairview Drive, Lexington, passed away Sunday at Lexington Memorial Hospital. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 PM Tuesday, March 1, at Yadkin College United Methodist Church by Rev. Eckwood Lancaster. A private burial will be held. Mrs. Deyton was born August 22, 1923 in Lockhart, SC to A. E. Sigmon and Daisy Canupp Sigmon. Her parents, ten siblings, and a great grandson preceded her in death. Surviving are her husband of 60 years, Rev. John Herbert Deyton of the home; her daughter, Judy Deyton Greer and husband, Ronnie, of Morganton; her sons: John Herbert Deyton, Jr. and friend, Janice Donnell, of Winston Salem and Jack Lambert Deyton and wife, Joanna, of Lexington; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The family will receive friends following the service in the Church Fellowship Hall and other times at the home.
