Doris Lou Byerly Everhart, 74, of North County Home Road, died unexpectedly after declining health, Saturday, December 22, 2012, at Wake Forest Baptist Health – Lexington Medical Center.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, December 26, 2012, at Grace Missionary Alliance Church, where she was a member, with the Pastor Richard Barker officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at the church and other times at the home.
Mrs. Everhart was born May 1, 1938, in Davidson County to Jacob Howard Byerly and Ruby Shoe Byerly. She was formerly employed with Thomas Manufacturing.
Surviving are her loving husband, James Blake Everhart of the home; sons, Jimmy Everhart and wife, Cheryl, and David Everhart and wife, Tammy, all of Lexington; daughter, Luann Parks and husband, Michael, of Lexington; grandchildren, Jared Everhart and wife, Shelli, Kathryn Jackson and husband, Davin, Daniel Everhart, Anna Parks, Adam Parks and wife, Heather, Taylor Everhart, Colby Everhart, and Abby Everhart, all of Lexington; great-grandchildren, Finn Everhart, Wells Everhart, Shannon Parks and Keelyn Hedrick, all of Lexington; brother, Bobby Byerly and wife, Georgia, of Lexington; and sister, Topsy Everhart and husband, Phillip, of Lexington.
