Doris Craver Ginn, 79, of Swicegood Road, died Monday, March 26, 2012, at her home.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Thursday, March 29, 2012, at Tyro United Methodist Church Chapel, where she was a member, with the Rev. Randy Foster officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
Mrs. Ginn was born April 14, 1932, in Davidson County, to Raymond Eugene Craver and Carrie Swicegood Craver. She was retired from AVX Ceramics in Myrtle Beach, SC. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Luther “Jack” Ginn, on May 29, 2007; daughter, Ruth Ann Ginn; granddaughter, Madison Ginn; and brothers, Robert Craver, Devid Craver and Johnny Craver.
Surviving are sons, Al Ginn of Tyro and Stephen Snyder of Black Mountain; daughter, Beth Hensley of Tyro; grandchildren, Jordan Ginn, Chase Hensley and Ruth Ann Essick; sisters-in-law, Eva Craver of Tyro, Judy Craver of Lexington, and Barbara Ginn of North Myrtle Beach, SC; and brother-in-law, Dale Ginn of North Myrtle Beach, SC.
Memorials may be made to Tyro United Methodist Church, 4484 South NC Highway 150, Lexington, NC 27295; or Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
