Doris Hinson Gray

Doris Hinson Gray, age 93 of Westchester Manor, formerly of Lexington and High Point passed away Sunday morning June 5, 2016 at Westchester Manor in High Point. Funeral service will be held 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2016, in the Chapel of First Baptist Church by the Rev. Dr. Ray Howell, III. Entombment will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Doris was born May 3, 1923 in Cabarrus County to Issac Raymond Hinson and Bertha Lorene Davis Hinson. She was a member of First Baptist Church and retired from Pilot Life Insurance Company. For many years, she, along with her sister, volunteered for Meals on Wheels. Her husband, Baylor Gray, and her brothers, Warren Hinson, Doug Hinson and Elzavan Hinson, preceded her in death. Surviving are her sons, Allan Gray and wife Lynn, of Cary and Coby Gray and wife, Angela, of Wallburg; her grandchildren, Baylor and Brandon Gray; step-grandchildren, Matthew McCauley and Alex McCauley; and a sister, Margaret Brown of Lexington.
