Doris Kepley Hartley

Doris Kepley Hartley, age 91 of Allred Road, Lexington passed away Saturday night at Hinkle Hospice House. Funeral service will be held at Noon, Tuesday at Memorial United Church of Christ with Rev. Jamie Kent officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall from 11:00 until noon, prior to the service. Doris was born in Davidson County April 16, 1922 to William Wesley and Bessie Leonard Kepley. She was a self-employed Beautician and was a member at Memorial UCC and a choir member. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 63 years Billy G. Hartley in 2010; sister, Pauline Kepley; brothers, Coy, Lawrence (Pete), Chester and Worth Kepley. Surviving are her daughters; Melanie Welborn (Bill) and Angela Gray (Bob) all of Lexington; grandchildren, Jamie McMillan, John McMillan (Shannon), Griffin and Bailey Gray; great-grandchildren, Ally and Savannah McMillan and a special niece, Dee Jarvis.
