Doris Jean Furr Craven

Doris Jean Furr Craven 80 of Winston-Salem passed away Sunday, May 24, 2015 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Ellerbe Town Cemetery, Ellerbe, NC with Rev. Charles Spomer officiating. There will be no formal visitation. Doris was born in Moore County on August 23, 1934 to Reid and Grace Greene Furr. She was a homemaker and a member of Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church in Burlington. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband Earl Craven. Surviving are sons, Bruce Craven (Lois) of Star, NC, David Craven (Cheryl) of Greer, SC, Mark Craven (fiancee Robin) of Burlington; a daughter, Earlene Riddick (Marvin) of Winston-Salem; one brother, Daniel Furr of Vass, NC; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative CareCenters of Forsyth County, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
