Doris Leonard Crotts

Doris Lane Leonard Crotts, 92, of Lexington, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Piedmont Crossing.

A private graveside service to celebrate her life will be held at Mt. Tabor United Church of Christ Cemetery by the Rev. Darrell Sluder.

Doris was born June 13, 1928 in Rowan County to Numa Anderson Leonard and Lillie Frances King Leonard. She was a member of Mt. Tabor United Church of Christ, where she was very active. She was a retired bookkeeper with Link Taylor and Young Hinkle. She also worked with Lexington Drug # 1 & 2 and Coble Dairy. She is preceeded in death by her husband, Bruce Smith Crotts; three brothers, Clifton M Leonard, Jack A. Leonard and Frank C Leonard; and her sister, Rudy L Styers. Doris loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed watching them participate in sports and other events.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Renee Thomas (David) and Pam Tesh, both of Lexington; her grandchildren; Jason Thomas, Amy Osborne (Kevin), Rodney Thomas (Lindsay) and Alex Tesh (Tabitha),  all of Lexington and Erica White (Adam) of Port Orange, Florida; her great grandchildren; Parker Thomas, Emma Grace and Grayson Osborne, Kirian Veach, Adler and Ashur Tesh, and Taylor, Wyatt and Weston White; and many nieces and nephews.
